Connor's voice through the rain was like a heavenly chorus to his ears.

"CONNOR!" he called back, running toward the noise just as surely as his brother was doing. He slipped a couple times, but he managed to stay upright. The trees nearest him acting as support, backpack securely slung over his shoulders so his hands would be free.

When he finally spotted his brother in the rain, Murphy's face lit up and he let out another excited "Connor!" before rushing in to hug him. It was practically a tackle with the force of it, the mud under their feet enough to send them flying backwards and down. But Murphy didn't much care about that. He was too relieved to see his brother after being separated from him for as long as he had.

"Where the fuck have you been?" he asked between laughs, punching Connor's shoulder lightly.
