What could she do? Run, try to take them down with - what had been in the backpack? a flashlight? - or get back in the pod thing and hope that someone friendly happened along. The last one wasn't her favorite option by far. Her family was out there somewhere. They could be trapped or hurt and just sitting around hoping not to be eaten wasn't something she could do. And her chances with the flashlight weren't the best either, the thing was too small to do much damage.
So running it was. She could lose them and circle back, try to find the others. Maybe they were in pods like her, just somewhere else...
Maggie was about to make a break for it when she heard that voice calling her name. The voice she'd recognize anywhere. "Glenn." He was there, racing toward, and right toward the walkers.
New plan. She did run, but to him, backpack clutched in both hands and ready to use as a shield to shove away anything that wasn't her husband that tried to grab her.
